Zachary Steele
Chief Executive Officer
Zach is responsible for driving ECF’s corporate strategy and works with the management team to deliver consistent growth, profitability and performance excellence.
Previously, Zach was Co-Head of Fusion Fuel (Nasdaq: HTOO) and Co-President of Fusion Fuel USA which is a hydrogen electrolysis technology company based in Portugal. Prior to Fusion Fuel, Zach served as CEO and Vice-Chairman of Cedar LNG. Prior to that he founded and was CEO of Pacific Traverse Energy. He began his career developing renewable energy projects as founder of Enova Energy Group in 2009.
Zach holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Rollins University and is a member of the Canadian American Business Council.
Jason Baran
Chief Financial Officer
Jason is an entrepreneurial operating and finance executive with extensive strategy, M&A, business development, and capital raising experience. He oversees ECF’s financial operations and performance, with a focus on the company’s capital structure, financial reporting, risk management and treasury.
Jason has previously held senior roles in the energy infrastructure sector, including Chief Commercial Officer at Fusion Fuel (Nasdaq: HTOO) and Co-President of Fusion Fuel USA, CFO and Board Member of Cedar LNG, and Senior Vice President at Beowulf Energy. He began his career at Citigroup in investment banking.
Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Davidson College.
Jeff Crone
Chief Operating Officer
Jeff is responsible for leading ECF’s organic growth strategies and execution focusing on strategic planning and delivery of corporate and sector initiatives.
Previously, Jeff served as Vice President of Engineering and Construction Services at Buckeye Partners where he oversaw all corporate engineering and project management functions for the organization. He brings over 25 years of global energy industry experience in the fields of engineering, operations and project management, working in leadership roles for companies including Kinder Morgan, Shell and Hess.
Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from Youngstown State University.
Bob Blattler
EVP, Business Development
Bob has 40 years’ experience in the petrochemical and natural gas transmission sectors in commercial, project management and operations roles. Has led marketing activities; transporter business relations, commercial services and infrastructure development. Fostered enterprise focus while ensuring adherence to Corporate Policies. Led the building of customer relations in markets of influence, driving tactics for success and marketing of new products.
Kirk Morrison
VP, Project Development
Kirk is a professional engineer with nearly 40 years’ experience in the global energy & resource sector and has led businesses employing in excess of 2500 individuals with annual revenues in excess of $500M CDN. Kirk and his teams have been responsible for the permitting, design and construction of renewable energy projects generating in excess of 6000 MW in 6 different continents.
Darin Olson
VP, Finance
Darin has more than 25 years of experience in the midstream energy and technology sectors, specializing in growth and mergers & acquisitions. Darin has served as the CFO of several companies, including PureWeb Inc, Terado Gas Storage (recently acquired by Altagas, TSE: ALA), and Niska Gas Storage (NYSE: NKA), acquired by Brookfield’s Infrastructure fund.
Shannon Ward
Vice President of Human Resources
Shannon is responsible for leading ECF’s Human Resources and People Operations functions, overseeing all aspects of payroll, compliance, employee relations, talent strategy, organizational development, and workforce planning across North America.
Previously, Shannon served as Vice President of Human Resources for Earl Enterprises, where she led HR strategy, payroll/tax, compliance, and employee relations initiatives supporting diverse and distributed teams. With over 23 years of progressive HR leadership experience, she brings deep expertise in building scalable people operations, fostering high-performing cultures, and guiding organizational change.
Shannon holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
